LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT CERTIFICATION

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification can be acquired once the candidate has completed either the LSS Yellow Belt classroom training or the on-line training course and upon successfully passing the on-line LSS Yellow Belt examination (Passing Mark is 70%). & Completion of a LSS Yellow Belt project is desirable but not a requirement for the certification.

LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT CERTIFICATION

The Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a professional who is well versed in the core to advanced elements of Lean Six Sigma Methodology, who leads improvement projects and / or serves as a team member as a part of more complex improvement projects lead by a Certified Black Belt, typically in a part-time role.

To acquire a LSS Green Belt certification, the following must be met:

  • Acceptable completion of the LSS Green Belt training course through formal classroom or on-line training.
  • Passed (Passing is 70%) the on-line LSS Green Belt Certification Examination
  • Completed a LSS Green Belt project with a minimum (projected) annualized savings of $ 15,000 or approximately Php 600,000 to 700,000 signed off by the stakeholders of the project.
  • Ability to defend the project during the panel review. It is expected that the LSS Green Belt candidate will be able to:
    • Demonstrate analytical thinking and rational thought process
    • Clearly explain the DMAIC project cycle in layman's term.
    • Quantify deliverables in terms of meaningful metrics that will benefit the organization (e.g. cost reduction, quality, cycle time, safety improvements, etc.).
    • Explain how he/she was able work within time, budget and operational constraints.
    • Explain the tools of Six Sigma as applied in the project.

LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT CERTIFICATION

The Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who is well versed in the Lean Six Sigma Methodology, who leads complex improvement projects, typically in a full-time capacity. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt understands how to implement, perform, interpret and apply Lean Six Sigma at an advanced level of proficiency.

  • Passed (Passing is 70%) the on-line LSS Black Belt Certification Examination
  • Completed a LSS Black Belt project with a minimum (projected) annualized savings of $ 35,000 or approximately Php 1,500,000 to 1,600,000 signed off by the stakeholders of the project.
  • Ability to defend the project during the panel review. It is expected that the LSS Green Belt candidate will be able to:
    • Demonstrate analytical thinking and rational thought process
    • Clearly explain the DMAIC project cycle in layman's term.
    • Quantify deliverables in terms of meaningful metrics that will benefit the organization (e.g. cost reduction, quality, cycle time, safety improvements, etc.).
    • Explain how he/she was able work within time, budget and operational constraints..
    • Explain the tools of Six Sigma as applied in the project.
    • Present how his/her interpersonal and leadership skills contributed to the successful implementation of the project.
